You can add Friends by tapping on the 'Import Friends' buttons to add Friends from your social networks. You can also tap on the 'Invite Friends' button in the Friends menu, and then tap on the 'Add via Friend Code' button. Your own Friend Code is located at the top of the Friends menu, and is the same as your BBB ID.
